Shenhar (Shenberg), Yitzhak
(1905-57)
   Israeli author. He was born in Voltshisk, on the border of Galicia and the Ukraine, and settled in Palestine in 1921. From 1942 he was an editor for the publisher Schocken. His novels deal with Jewish life in Eastern Europe and Israel. He also translated works from European literature into Hebrew.
